It's about time!
Finally got my windshield put in yesterday. Tried about all the local windshield "companies" in the Dayton/Springfield, Ohio area. This guy was here about 1 1/2-2 hrs. Would recommend them to anyone in this area. The guys name was Carl Farley. He's got a shop on Valley St. , just west of Stanley. Does good work and stands behind it. Does a lot of work for the local custom car builders. Factory tint windshield, installed for less than $250.00. Can't beat that?

Re: It's about time!
I was quoted $175 for glass and labor. for that price I dont have to fiddle-fart with it and worry about totally screwing up the seal.
(I said "fiddle-fart". I am sounding more and more like my dad every day) |

Re: It's about time!
I furnished the gasket. Some of these big "company" guys said that was my problem, that I needed to get an OEM gasket. I guess it's easier to lay the blame on something other than their incompetence? I guess if ya want quality work, ya gotta pay a little more for it? Plus, they sprayed some silicone around the gasket going in. The other guys refused to use anything. I've always found it's easier to get it in if ya use some lube.

But don't it worry you a little bit when they roll out of the truck with a jar of Vaseline in their hand?
