Front end swap

I have a 64' and Id like to do a disc brake conversion. My question is if I swap out the ball joints to the newer style do I use a spindle from a 73-87 truck? The reason Im wondering is I have a complete frontend from a 79 but someone told me it would be easier to just change out my ball joints and put in the newer style spindle with the caliper mounts.

Any help appreciated.

From the sticky at the top of the forum.

You need to swap the arms as well and most do the steering or get adapters to go from the later spindles to the earler steering. A search will reveal everything you need to know.
