Hello from Texas!

Hello gentleman and ladies too. My name is Jeremy. I have a 1972 Chevy C-20 dually that I have been trying to restore for sometime now (poor). My friend bought the truck awhile back for the motor and he ended up giving me the truck. The dually trucks never came with a normal bed so my idea is to place a 70 to 72 Fleetside bed on and then measure, cut, and weld on 67-72 Stepside fenders to it to give it a period-correct look (if GM would have made a dually bed for these trucks). I have taken the truck completely apart and am in the process of frame and suspension work. I have thought of dropping it a few inches but apparently 3/4 ton drop spindles a extremely hard to find. Anyway, frame is almost ready for a coat of Por-15 and then the rear axle and k-member will get it too. Eventually when I get to the engine, I was thinking of a Ram Jet 502 or retrofitting a Cadillac Northstar engine in but believe me that's a good ways away before I really have to decide. Because of my low funds, I have called this my 15 year project.Anyway, just wanted say hello and tell alittle bit about my project.
