O well she's frozen. I hope it's just the freeze plug. Famous last words "It's not going to be that cold". My Mom always said a hard head has to feel.

Well all you can do now is check out the leak and hope it is a freeze plug. If you can borrow a coolant system pressure tester you can find the leak without running the engine.

so is there an easy way to replace a freeze plug without pulling the engine? mine is definitely the source of my constant water leak.

If you can get the leaky one out yes. Go to most any parts store and ask for a rubber freeze plug. It is a piece of rubber sandwiched between two washers with a bolt running through it. Take the old one out and install the new one. Tighten the bolt and it swells the rubber piece to hold it in place. Just make it snug don't over tighten it. It will do the job.

Now rocking 383, NV4500, power steering, power brakes. Finally undergoing restoration.
