1970 3''-5'' drop

Do you have to use a C Notch to do a 3''/5'' drop on a 1970 chevy truck with coils all around? Thanks you time and help is greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't need a notch with a 5" drop. Even with 6" it could go either way.

Re: 1970 3''-5'' drop

I have a 4 1/2" front and 5" rear drop and don't have a c-notch in it. If you notch the frame it would improve the ride just a little bit. I have the truck apart now doing a frame off with 4-way airbags, swaybars and a c-notch to get that car like ride.
