Re: crew cab
I dont like the way the crew cabs look on our years. I would sell it. Thats my 2 cents. If its rust free and a complete truck, might be worth a good bit to the right person.

Re: crew cab
Don't figure on buying one of these trucks to fix up and sell at a profit. You will most likely spend a lot more on parts than the truck will sell for, and that's not counting your labor.
As far as whether or not to buy it, it's a personal decision. Depends on your mechanical abilities, tools available, willingness to learn and time available. If you're wanting to buy it to resale, value depends on finding someone who wants to buy it. Some people are beating the bushes to find a good crew cab, just because they are odd. But don't expect to turn it around in a hurry, unless you get it real cheap. Hooking up with a buyer can take a lot of time. I'm in no way trying to talk you out of buying the truck, just giving you some things to think about before you make your decision.

Re: crew cab
I would love to have a crew cab. Some of the crews I see, the rear doors are rather funky looking, but I think with a little fab work they can look good. I want one to match my 62 Burban....

Re: crew cab
I love that truck!!! I want to build somethign like that someday, save for the newer frame. Never thought about using the firewall/floor, pretty good idea.

Re: crew cab
Do you have any pics of it? That would help some of us to try to give you a value.
