Re: Remote control car fans
There is a member on here who paints them. Not sure who, but I recall an orange avatar of one that is wicked sweet.

Re: Remote control car fans
I just purchased a Traxxas Stampede and am going to get the '72 body. I am going to paint it to match my truck. Anyone have any tips on trimming the wheel openings? How do you get them all smooth and to match?

Re: Remote control car fans
Here is the 72 Chevy body I painted up on a truck that I totally customized. The truck had a custom suspension, functional cold air from the hood scoop, big block 24.7 nitro truck.

Re: Remote control car fans
They make special scissors that you can get at a hobby shop specifically for cutting lexan. They have a curved tip specifically so you can cut lexan bodies. Afterwards, just use a dremel with a sanding drum and clean up the edges.

Re: Remote control car fans
I got one on order for my LST and I'm gonna get another for my future rockcrawler. Why can't they do a '72 'burb?
Let me guess, XTM X-Factor,with a Giga Crusher scoop and it looks like a butt-load of aftermarket aluminum. R/c s are another addictive hobby; I've got more into my r/c's(4 nitro burners and 6 electrics) than my 'burb |

Re: Remote control car fans
Yup, you got it... I also did a custom front steering setup with a drag link, custom upper link mounts, LST ball ends, lifted and extended wheelbase with custom links, ACNCM cooling head, XTM Al cantilevers, Al cantilever mounts, Al chassis plates, Xfactor 2 parts, Savage axles, MGT wheels/tires and Hot Bodies Fireball wheels/tires, Giga Crusher hood scoop, T-maxx driveshafts and brake and more.
I had an LST. I really liked it. Just noone around me was into it and I just got bored running by myself. I have had Maxxes, a Savage, Mad Force RCX, Xterminator, Hyper 7, RC10GT, GS SUT, LST, MGT, Revo... I now only have a few electrics 1/10 scales.

I think i might have to pick up a couple for my emaxxes. Hopefully soon they'll start to make them for Mini-T's.

Re: Remote control car fans
My collection consists of LST, Savage, T-Maxx, TTR Eb-4 1/8 buggy, a brushless RC18T, Micro RS4, Tamiya Wld Dagger, Clodbuster, Tamiya Hummer, RC10T3, and in parts I have an old Tamiya Rough Rider, another old Tamiya Holiday Buggy, a Bolink Digger, and enough parts to build a big block T-Maxx.

![]() I bought the truck as a beater from Ebay, maybe $150, and after careful and patient ebay shopping I got all of the mods... The rest I did myself (end links, end link mounts, steering mods) from Home Depot parts. Probably into it around $600-700 and I sold it for as much. I was bummed though. I sold the truck after I finished it, and then RC Car Action, which is the leading RC mag contacted me to do a write up on it. Since I didn't own it any longer, I couldn't do it... Bummer...
