Opinions on front end to convert to 4x4
Im new here, and not quite sure if this is the right place to ask this question. I wanna convert my 1969 mini schoolbus to 4x4, which front end would you recommend?

Re: Opinions on front end to convert to 4x4
Whell...I think i would try to find a dana 60 from a dually and take some WMS to WMS (wheel mounting surface) measurements and see if its wide enough. A rockwell front axle would probley be better, it can handle more weight. Try to find a military truck.
Just some ideas. Looks like it will be a cool bus..

I would almost say buy the whole duece and use the entire drive train for it.. could even make the bus dual rear axle...

Yeah I would say a rockwell would be your best route to go. Jons got a very good idea too. Would be something to think about.
