I.r.s

Hey, This is my first time posting.I have a 68 chevy shortbed and i was wondering if anyone has ever used an I.R.S out of a mid 90s thunderbird or cougar.I am going to do my own backhalf and I was thinking about using one.I thought it would be cool to have an old truck with independant rear suspension.Any info would be great this forum is awesome.

If you know what you're doing, I don't see why not. I like the idea of using the Corvette rear best.

Yu can get those slick Ford 9" that they use for AC Cobra kits with inbound discs, that would be sweet.

Re: I.r.s

An IRS out of a bigger Ford SUV has been transplanted into a 67-72 before so it would only be limited by your fab skills.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
