Review: March High Mount Power Steering Pump Bracket
We used this bracket for installation of a 350 into a 1974 Blazer. The Blazer previously had a hacked bracket attached to the left side frame, so there were no references for where the bracket should be. There was also a crossmember that would not accomodate stock LWP brackets, suggesting a high-mount bracket.
The quality of the bracket was very high - we installed the powdercoated vs. chromed bracket but the fit and finish was excellent. The stock LWP power steering pulley lined up perfectly; we used an aftermarket aluminum pulley with the same "backspacing" as it was in my parts box and added a little bling. The bracket can be moved out ~1/16" for alignment as required. The pulley mounts high and would clear headers, etc. This bracket will only work with right (passenger side) alternator mount. The instructions with pictures was very clear and installation went without a hitch. The stock pressure and return lines fit perfectly; I don't know for sure that the lines were the stock lines but they appeared to be. http://www.marchperf.com/instruction...structions.pdf Last edited by Billla; 01-07-2007 at 10:04 PM. |
