A once in a Life Time deal!
I recieved an E-mail from a fellow board member offering me a deal I could not pass up. He is getting rid of his project truck's due to life changes and prioritys. The main truck is a 70 half ton, 5lug, disc (new rotor's and calipers),PS, PB, V8, A/C, auto long bed. For the most part it is fairly clean and complete but will be getting some parts off the donner truck. The cab seems solid except for the kick panels but we will see once I get into it. The bed is ok but has the extra fuel door added so I will swap it out wit the donner. The front clip looked good and the 70 grill is nice as well.
The donner truck is a 67 small window long bed with a good front clip, doors and bed. It has no motor, tranny or title so it will get parted out and scrapped. Also along with all this is a new set of original re-cromed 70 bumpers, factory tach dash w/air guage, new out side bezel and glass! Then their is a second 70 grill, new cab corners (not installed) that were with the 67 and alot of other parts and pieces. I think the 67 front clip will end up on my 70 2WD Blazer as well as the spare doors. I will have pics on Sunday of my new project. Any parts that I will not be using I will offer to other board members at NO COST! You will just need to arange for pick up. It may be a few weeks before it is all sorted out but since a fellow board member did me a huge favor by contacting me about this deal I thought I would pass it on. And who says Karma is not a good thing! Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: A once in a Life Time deal!
I would like to be first in line for bed parts specifically inner bed fenders and a tailgate if you don't use them.

Re: A once in a Life Time deal!
Kevin, Since you have another project, I'm sure you won't need that suburban hatch now, LOL!. Seriously, I could use a nice set of bed ends (the last 8 inches on each side where the tail lights are) if you end up cutting up the long bed.

Re: A once in a Life Time deal!
Yes Karma is a good or bad thing but even when it is bad it is still good! If you are on the end of bad Karma then you desirve it and that is good!
I am one of those guys that always stops for wrecks, report accidents, change tires on the side of the road for old people, I have emptied out countless fire extingushers on car-b-Q's all because I like to help out and it makes me feel this country may not be slipping away as fast as it may seem some time. When people offer to pay me or somthing I just tell them to help out someone else when they can. It is a great way to live and I hope it spreads. Had a guy last month slide to a stop right infront of my house in a real beat up 89 chevy truck that looked like he was living out of it. Turns out he had a flat on the freeway (1 mile away) and changed his own tire but put it on backwards so the rim was pushing on his rotor causing it to lock up solid. After he called for friends to help him out and had no luck I offered to drive him into to Vacaville (12 miles each way) to a tire shop for a new tire because his was scrubed down to the rim. Turns out he is a Heart and Lung surgon from San Francisco and he was driving his ranch truck back home for a hay and grain trip for his animals. Real nice guy and very thankfull because as you have can figure not very good with cars but like I told him I don't want to see my Mechanic for heart pains! Long story short once I was done changing his tire, checking the rest for PSI he slips me a check even after I tell him I just wanted to help and their was no need. I finally took it because he was starting to get affended I think and it went right from my pocket into out 4way cross shreader! We will never know what it was But I felt good about it and so did my wife. Sorry for the long winded story but I thought it was a good one. Yes I will get pics for everyone and a list of parts that will be going to other homes. Some of the parts will go on my other projects and the parts I take off may go up for the taking. Now what would someone want with the last 8" of a fleet side bed Kevin LFD Inc. Last edited by Rokcrln; 01-10-2007 at 10:23 PM. |

Kevin, that's a great story, and words I think we should all live by. What goes around, comes around. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be your brothers keeper.

Re: A once in a Life Time deal!
Kevin, this world needs more folks like you. It's pretty simple rule to live by, treat folks like you want to be treated. OBTW, don't let my secret out and my offer still stands on storing the liftgate for you .
