Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I took all the power steering parts from the 71 parts truck into work and ran them through the solvent tank. They were very greasy and i didnt want to deal with them. Now they are nice and clean.

A friend and I bought a couple of 200's (one for his ta and one for my truck) and installed one in his Trans Am. Drug home a 70 C-20 with 396/400 for free. Then worked Sat and Sunday.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
worked pretty much all weekend on decking my attic over my three car garage.... Lots of work but now I have tons of storage and can drop that %50.00 a month storage place. Been paying on it for about two years now.
Damn what a waste of $....

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I had to work on Sat and spent this afternoon with the girlfirend and she is still PO'ed so the weekend was a bust for me. I had plan on looking at a 2wd blazer but I decided to spend with the gf as a priority and she left pissed anyway. Looks like I can buy what I want again.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I tore down my 402 that I'm putting in my gmc shortbox. Found out it's been rebuilt, bored .060 over. Man, I was HAPPY!! I only payed 250 bucks for the 71 chevy with this motor in it. Now I will order my parts for it. I am psyched!!
My dad painted the underside of his hood, stepside brackets, radiator support, and another part I can't recall, all in black. A pretty good weekend for the gmc shortboxes.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I got my fuel filler installed in my bed. Had soccer games and worked on the daughter's Bonneville (tranny coming soon ) I also spent some time on the DD (dumb D#dge) looking for coolant leak. She goes into the dealer tomorrow for warranty work. Hung out with the wife and kids, as the two ladies hit the road back to school and training tomorrow.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I put some edelbrock IAS shocks on my 2000 superduty, worked with my show mare in the roundpen and removed a bad wheel stud from the front disc kit on my 70 c-10. Winter is supposed to return to MS tonight and tomorrow.

Helped my son put the carpet in his '71. That was the last thing in the big box of parts he ordered for it.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I picked up my rally wheels from powder coat on Friday. New rear brakes including new drums + wheels cylinders + hardware kits, still need to bleed. New rotors, bearings & seals up front. Still need to install the new calipers and bleed. Waiting on new master cylinder to arrive. The brake system turned out to be an expensive undertaking, but it was nice to be able to work on the truck for a change.
Almost forgot, Had the tires swapped from the 5-Star Wheels to the Rallys on Sat. Last edited by Texasdeere; 01-14-2007 at 10:52 PM. |

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I finished stripping my 68 cab out to send to media blast Friday night. I started tearing the 71 short bed down to send the frame to get powder coated for the 68. The dog house is off now and the cab is ready to pull off. Hope to have it ready for the powder coater Thursday.

I pulled my 68 in the driveway so I can start working on it tomorrow. I did adjust the fast idle on it though

Went to a car show on saturday. Bought a new gas pedal, stainless trim, and brake pedal pad from a local vendor. And play some video games with my daughter.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I bought my 1969 2wd LWB on Friday and got the engine compartment cleaned up a little. Ordered a manual steering box from billbowtie on the boards here and have been looking for a gas pedal/throttle assembly the rest of the time. I also did a lot of brain storming. I would have liked to have driven my new toy a lot more this weekend but it hasn't gone above 28 degrees since Friday afternoon and we're covered in about an inch of ice. Also found out she doesn't like to start in the cold (at all!).

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I managed to lock myself inside my truck for about an hour, with no jacket (temp was the mid to high 20's)...
The other day i put my door panels back on, but not the inside levers. Today I hopped into my truck for a second to get the registration out of the glove box, and the door slammed shut... i had no tools in the truck to remove the door panels, and the latch is too tight to turn by hand... finally my wife got home and let me out... She's still laughing at me
