4.3 V6 in 85 4X4 Frame with 89 Body Mounted
As title states I have mounted a 89 GMC body onto my 85 3/4 4x4 Frame, This was done due to my 85 being a Snowplow Truck & the Body was Total Junk.
Im unsure as too whether to keep the 4.3 as all wiring in the truck is for this or to go with V8 & Change all wiring to match, I have the 4.3 & it would be nice to keep the FI. Just want to know what type mounting would be involved to put the 4.3 in my current frame, It is set up for V8 now. Are the V8 Mtgs the same for the the 4.3? This Truck is used mainly to keep my lane clear in the winter as Im about 1/4 mile off road........................ Thanks for any Input, Rick |

Re: 4.3 V6 in 85 4X4 Frame with 89 Body Mounted
I think that may be all we need to swap. I will look at my truck hard this weekend and see. How soon are you going to these parts? My 350 engine is in the machine shop now. I can pull the 4.3 in a weekend if needed.
Thanks. Jamie P.S. pretty nice truck for $400.00 bucks. Last edited by cjracing15; 01-23-2007 at 08:36 PM. |
