Gas Filler options

I'm about to install the blazer tank conversion in the truck, and I need some advice on the filler neck.
What I really want to do is incorporate a round fuel door on the top portion of the rear stepside fender. I'd rather keep the side a clean look.
Also, I want to keep the door flush, instead of a cap sticking out like the stock saddle back setup.

Any ideas on how to do this? What would be a good donor vehicle?

thanks

Re: Gas Filler options

a few ideas:

most folks just wander to a yard and cut out a fuel door and the metal around it that they like, then they weld it in where they need it, or where they can make it all work.

I've heard about the s-10 fuel doors being used...

One of the neatest ones I've seen is a 67-72 fleetside, a guy cut down a s-10 fuel door to the size of the side markers on the back sides of the bed, then where the side marker went, that was the fuel door with the side marker on top. It looked original, very well done.

I wonder if that was from someone on here? Hmnn... prolly so.

Re: Gas Filler options

thanks for the link, some good ideas there.

I found this site too, that kit would look neat mounted on the back of the rear fender.
