10" wheel with 275/60-15 fitment

I just ordered a set of 15x10 rallys for the rear of my '72. Currently I have 4 15x8s shod with 255/70-15s, not exactly an aggressive set up. I will be running 15x8s with 255/60-15s up front and 15x10s with 275/60-17 out back any one have pics of an installed set of 275/60-15 on a 10" wheel?

Thanks,

-Fred

Those 275/60-17's are gonna be really hard to air up.Mostly because they wont be tight on the 10X15 in rims.

Wow,275.Thats a pretty big tire for a 2wd.Thats nearly the size of the ones on my old 79 4x4 with the 4" lift, and they are 33s.

Re: 10" wheel with 275/60-15 fitment

I have the exact same size rallyes but was not sure of tire size. Did not want 50's in the back. Again anyone that has a picture of this setup would sure be helpful.

Re: 10" wheel with 275/60-15 fitment

KBS71,

I would give my first born for the manufacture of a 295/60-15 street tire that's not a drag radial, a Hoosier or a race/ slick type style. 275/60-15 is the widest 60 series street tire that I can find, from there it goes to a 295/50-15...

Bueller, Bueller, Bueller, anyone

Re: 10" wheel with 275/60-15 fitment

a 275 on a 10 inch rim is ideal. I had that set up on my old GMC... however, I don't have any photos on this computer. They are all on the hard drive sitting in my desk. It'll look awsome, that is about the same width of the tread... good fit.

You coment on the 295's all being 50 series... remember, with that much width, the 50 series will still be a fairly tall tire, at about 28 or so inches... pretty much just as tall as the 275/60.

Re: 10" wheel with 275/60-15 fitment

Andy, 295/50 is 26.6 inches tall. 275/60 is 28.

I've run 275/60 on 10 inch wheels a lot. I'll look for a pic. Hold on...

Re: 10" wheel with 275/60-15 fitment

Here is my old 83 with 15x10 Centerline wheels and 295/50 BF Goodrich tires all around. Truck was lowered 3 in front, 4 in back. After these tires wore out, I went with 275/60's because they were taller. I'll try to find a later pic with that setup.

Re: 10" wheel with 275/60-15 fitment

Here's 275/60 15 on all four corners. The rear are on 15x10s with 4.5" of BS. The fronts are 15x8 with 4" of backspace. I test fit these on the back of my truck before ordering my 17x9.5" rims.

Thanks SEE TEN!!!

That looks great. I wanted to see how a taller tire would look.
Now all I need is to lower my truck.
