Hood hinge question
I just realized that there is no way my inner fenderwells are going back in, as there is no room, and I also realized that I have now lost my hood hinges. Anyone got a reasonable idea for a solution?I aslready looked a t a few cars at pic-n-pull today that do a reverse hood hinge, but anybody know of any firewall mount hinges? Thanks!

well i ran up on something a long time ago, i cant find it and ive been looking but it was a 60-66 burb and it was dropped with no inner fenders and he fixed his, ill keep looking for it.

Yea i remember that one too. He had tubular supports going on the inside of each tire front to back, and then dome extra bracing in the back(firewall) that provided a few bolts to the firewall.He then bolted the hinges to this support structure...

What you can do is cut the section of fenderwell out that the hinge bolts to..mount that to the firewall, and then brace up to the mounting point. OR, if you don't want to cut the fenderwells...just make a template out of them. Should be pretty easy to do....especially without fenderwells, you have all that space from under to access for hood alignment/fabrication.

porterbuilt sales a bad a$$ bracket for the hinge but dont get in a hurry for it
