what kind of gaskets
got these heads for about 25 dollars, and was wondering what kind of gasket do I need, and was wondering is anyone using some like these

For the top, I always used regulat manifold gaskets, nothing special, never needed it. Did this on 2 sets of headers, the only blow outs I had was when I didn't tighten them down all the way.
On the bottom, you can't go wrong with the dead soft alluminum gaskets. They are like 1/8 or 1/4 inch thick, and they seal like crazy. I musta removed mine 20 times over the 7 years I used them. (one set of collector gaskets, 2 sets of headers, quite a few engine swaps and other reasons for pipe removal) |
