Sfbd ??
Anyone have pics of how they did their stock floor body drop. I am installing Porterbuilt's Dropmember, and will be doing the rear when I get done. I want to lay the body on the ground. Does anyone have custom body mounts. I much will I have to lower the mounts?

Re: Sfbd ??
Watch running thoes 22s and trying to go retarded low in the front. Youll be getting a million dollar set of custom offset wheels or making a custom hood like CAMAROTHUNDER. My 20s almost come to the top of the fenders.

Re: Sfbd ??
Well I will be running a 67 front end. I will have the dropmember. Wont the dropmember narrow the front enough to lay it all the way down and not hit the fenders?

Re: Sfbd ??
We're in the process of doing this right now... I will post up some pics next week. The 22's are into the hood without the body-drop. It will get the "custom hood" treatment and possibly some custom control arms as well. It does have a Dropmember, but the offset on the wheel isn't quite enough. The customer had already purchased the wheels BEFORE he knew exactly what route he was (we were ) going to take.

Re: Sfbd ??
That yellow truck looks like it is running the stock hood? Does anyone have any pics of these trucks aired out with 22's? I just want to know what it will look like and how much lowered the body would need to go!!

Re: Sfbd ??
Look how far back the centerline of the front wheel is from the center of the wheelwell. That just looks kind of goofy to me.

Re: Sfbd ??
Are you doing something to remedy this on your truck? I think you may end up with the same affliction...

Re: Sfbd ??
ya but I dont want to go all the way to the doors. I just want to lay rockers! I might even set it up to have the rockers about a 1/2" off the ground, just so I wont have to worry about trashing the paint.

Re: Sfbd ??
Here's some pics of the truck before we do the 'stock floor body drop'... (never really made much sense to me for somebody to call it that, by the time you're done tunneling for the trans and driveshaft it's not much of a stock floor anymore!).
The tires are 265 35 22's, they are currently into the hood (see pic) where the upper and lower skins are pinch welded and form an edge... before the body drop. We will be lowering the mounts and doing a custom hood treatment (like what IF custom's has done) to give the tires clearance at the hood. I will be starting a build thread on the whole truck in the near future, and will reference the link in this thread as well.
