Test fitted wheels... opinions wanted :)
So we stuck the 18's and 20's on over the weekend... here's a few pic's (sorry for the poor quality). I do know that I need to bring the front down to match the ass end. The 17's are back on it for now untill I figured out/decide what to do in order to get it lower. The 1st pic is with 17's... 2nd and 3rd are with 18's/20's. Whatcha think?

Re: Test fitted wheels... opinions wanted :)
Call me crazy, but I like the old setup better. Both look nice however, I just prefer the old set.

I agree with big block, I like the look of the 17's better. I am not a big wheels man. They do look good......

Re: Test fitted wheels... opinions wanted :)
I'm wondering if you noticed any difference in ride quality, I know with the taller rims comes the lower profile tires, was it any/much worse?

Re: Test fitted wheels... opinions wanted :)
I'm not a big wheel fan. 17's are pushing it for me, but I think both the 17's and 18's-20's look good.
I'd stick with 17' I think, but I have to admit with the thicker sidewall the 18's and 20's aint too bad at all.

Re: Test fitted wheels... opinions wanted :)
I like it alot just bring the front down a little and it will be perfect. I was wondering what these trucks would look like with 18s and 20s.the staggered look is awsome.

Re: Test fitted wheels... opinions wanted :)
In the pictures you posted I like the 17's better. If you went 3" lower all the way around the 18-20's would look killer.

Re: Test fitted wheels... opinions wanted :)
Looks great!
Honestly though, my personal preference goes against the staggered wheel look. I think the 73-87 trucks are too symmetrical and balanced in their 3 box design to sport a stagger. I would go with the same rim size all around, but if the stagger look is your thing, that's an awesome truck.

You already know my opinion. Go with 20's and be done with it.

Re: Test fitted wheels... opinions wanted :)
Not too bad, either way.
The larger rubber on the 18-20s can be a bit overpowering, but the 18s in front look good. I shrunk the front tire about 5% and lowered it a bit more. Then, lowered the front a bit more to give it some rake. Oh, the air dam had to go, otherwise it wouldn't last... Looks like it may be bag time.
