Torque Specifications
I have looked everywhere for my Haynes manual and can't find it to save my life right now. I put together my front suspension and steering last night. I was able to find the torque specs for the suspension but nothing for the steering components on the internet. Does anyone know the specs for the following:
inner tie rod nuts outer tie rod nuts Idler arm nuts pitman arm nuts rotor/bearing nuts Any help would be appreciated!! Here are a few pics of how it all went together. It is really nice to work with the cleaned/painted/powdercoated parts!!!

Some of the specs can be found here:
http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/chas...n/frontend.htm When I did mine, the pitman arm torque spec (IIRC) was something crazy like 175 ft. lbs. My torque wrench doesn't even gothat high. I estimated it to be the top of the range of my wrench, plus an additional two grunts.  Slonaker |

damn that a clean set up wish my car were that clean.

Been told im nuts to bring it back from the dead (still going to happen) plans-all stock with a turbo 292 inline 3 speed column shift. and thats it big block 427 and 5 speed trans and ford 9 inch theyhave no home yet thinking what to put them in and a 79 c60 trash truck um no idea i have one

Thanks for the replies and compliments!! I will clean it all up a little more once it is all finished. I went to Auto Zone today at lunch and found what I needed in the Haynes manual! I will torque everything and finish the brakes tonight. I will then be able to start putting the front clip back on. I only wish I had a cleaner clip to work with! I am hoping to have it on the road by the end of the month! I have never even had it on the road yet....Oh man I hope that I just didn't jynx myself!

i meant that clean for my chevelle. as for my truck it fine the way it is i mean it is only a daily driver with 246ooo miles on it.
