Who, when & where did you get that?

Some quick advice - Take your time on the install. The instructions are not great. Prefit everything before you drill. It is scary drilling into your truck. I'll probably be putting mine back on for the summer in a month or so. You're more than welcome to come up and take a look at how it is installed.

Re: look what I got today!!

Also if you can install the top in brod daylight so the sun heats the material up a bit. makes for a nice tight fit. The fabric is harder to work with if it is cold and during summer it will lossen up on you!

Good Luck!
PS ~ did you get that from the factory?

Well I actually found the top before I bought my Blazer. When I got a blazer I did not want to roll around with a hard top. I had been looking online trying to find the best soft top for 67-72 blazers and found all the history on kayline-STC- and how they were the best looking/fitting tops out there. Now out of bussiness. I thought great, I'll never get one of those fast trac models. I searched for about a week online and various vendors and everyone said no more inventory and the the shop was out of bussiness! And they all recomended the Bestop soft tops, I saw how they looked and did not care for the slant in the back. I googled "STC fast trac soft top" and someone had a classified listing for one. I immediatly e-mailed this guy asking if he still had it. the rest is history.....

I'm stoked I actually found one of these, and even new in the box

Being that STC is kaput and he bought it off of a private individual, he's committed to this one.

Funny thing was I was just ranting about STC going under and then I pull up this thread. Could it be? Is the new company up and running? Nope. If you really didn't need it I bet you could double your money on it now. There's a few guys I know of that got cornholed when they ordered the tops new from STC and then they were bought out.

Re: look what I got today!!

Take your time installing the top,I bought my blazer with just a soft top and best I can tell it is not installed right. When the doors are closed I have a 1/2 inch gap around the top of the window and when it rains hard and I drive I get wet , I am going to try to modify/fabricate some new door jambs to seal better, I love the top though. I also have a breathable truck cover that I throw over the soft top to keep the dampness out of the truck overnight. I just toss the top up and snap the windshield snaps. it is a little time consuming putting in the side windows every night and then removing them every morning. be carefull with your windows because they will scratch if you set them on something with a shsrp edge!

Gap is pretty common, although your's sounds extreme. I've had two trucks with soft tops, one installed by a PO and the other I installed. Both had gaps at the top rear of the door glass. I haven't ever had rain come in through the gap.
