Well, you knew it would happen!
Yep, she's topless!!!!
How incredibly cool it was to drive for the first time topless this morning! My girls and I just went around the block, but will get it out on the road later today - very sweet!

Very I need to get mine off soon. It might be more of a challenge with the lifted rig though.

Re: Well, you knew it would happen!
This one is lifted just 4" and those tires are pretty short so wasn't too bad. I put an eye bolt through a rafter 14' up and got some cable and some 2x4's and made a way to lift it alone - nothing like the system BobbyK built, and it needs some fine tuning - but it got the job done.
I can't express how much fun this is to drive!

Re: Well, you knew it would happen!
That`s got to be a great feeling.Man,I got to say I love your Blazer just as it is.If I had that I`d only to improvements to offroad worthyness that wouldn`t change the look at all.It would be so awesome to spank other 4wheelers in such an unpretentious rig.It just has the old "mule" look to it.Other names come to ming are ox,stump-puller,rute,unstoppable...

Re: Well, you knew it would happen!
Should have seen my oldest daughter this morning. She's 12 and just this year she's started messing with her hair more before school. She sat in back and we got on the main road and of course all of her long hair went everywhere, by the time we got to school, her comments were: "I woke up this morning and all I had to do was lightly brush my hair then it was perfect, and now it's all messed up and frizzed." Second comment was the best, "Even my tangles have tangles!" Thankfully she laughed it off and grabbed her brush as she was getting out of the K5.

Re: Well, you knew it would happen!
I don't know if she would go for that, I think a hoodie would work just fine myself!
My youngest just says the nicest things, on the way home last night she was with me and I told her that I was really enjoying the Blazer. She replied, "you've done alot of nice things to it" and that she liked it too. I just thought that was so sweet of her especially considering it's outward appearances are pretty rough and the interior is rough too - I guess she knows how many hours I've put into it getting it back on the road.

Re: Well, you knew it would happen!
Funny how so many people comment on the tires - they were on my 69 K20 when I bought it and they were basically brand new then the prior owner put the K20 in storage when he went into a nursing home. They are pretty old but excellent tread and no dry rot so I couldn't pass up using them on the K5. They howl just as loud as my 35"s on my k20. They are General tires, 31x 7.50 x 16 - appear to be a discontinued tread from quite a while back. The rims are split rims so once the tires wear out or I get some extra money the rims will get replaced.
Rained yesterday and today so hopefully Friday will be dry so I can drive the K5 some more - having a little withdrawl aready
