1947 chevrolet 2ton

hey yall. im thinking bout a new project. a 1947 chevrolet 2-ton. was wondering if there would be a way for this thing to get fairly good gas mileage? if i get it i would like to put a 350 in. make it a flatbed or maybe wood sided bed. yall let me know what ya think. heres the link.

I picked up the same thing in a for was free to haul away converted to a 350 sbc. not saying that one is work less bought my 53 chevy 3100 for $800 rust free.




My guess is that the rear end is geared very low and would be a killer on milage and on top speed with a resonable rpm. If it had a two speed rear end that could help Ed ke6bnl
