checking interest
I'm thinking about producing a polypropylene, injection molded, glove box for both the with and W/O a/c boxes. These would retail for about 21.95. Is there any interest in an item like this?

Re: checking interest
the samples are already with the manufacturer and I've got the quotes in....the minimum order numbers are a little high for me because they can't be vacuum formed and require TPO injection molds. If there enough interest to move the first 30-40% of them I'll go ahead with it.

Re: checking interest
might also be nice to make glove box that is preformed to install a modern stereo/cd player so it is concealed in the glove box. just a thought. i think a board member has some that he makes out of aluminum, but other designs are possible.

Plastic glove box?? That'd sure beat the cardboard ones. I'd buy one.

Re: checking interest
Thanks Jon, put me in for 1 non-ac. Just installed a cardboard one, but think the plastic would be more durable. Keep up the good work... J.

Re: checking interest
this is the reaction we were hoping for to continue with the manufacturer; we actually discussed putting electronics in the boxes; however- we would look for a way to rack the inside of a "Repro" plastic one as mold costs for a specialty item would simply be too much.
An item we're also discussing and will look for feedback on is a dash "Skin"....more on that later Thanks for the input! |
