Re: CPP coil overs
No Limit Engineering sells a rear coil over conversion kit for 63 - 72 trucks. I could not find it on their website or catalog, but I did get confirmation today that they do sell the kit. The website does have an instruction sheet for installation (that's why I checked to see if they sold the kit). The kit sells for $569.00 and is part #RCC-6372.
I have never bought anything from them, so no opinion about anything. www.nolimit.net

Re: CPP coil overs
I have the CPP kit (Brand new) they stopped selling them because of the low volume of purchases. I will be putting it on my 69 Suburban, I hear that it handles alot better with the coil over kit vs coil springs.

Re: CPP coil overs
Your suggestion is good, just not for a guy that doesn't have a welder..... The kit the OP was inquiring about is a 'bolt-on'.

Re: CPP coil overs
If your going to weld or have welding done, a setup like this will give you the most adjustability.

Re: CPP coil overs
The QA1 setup looks sweet. Is coilovers a worth while investment for a stock height truck? I have swapped in coil overs on a car before and the difference was significant. BTW, 71Dragtruck, your sig made me laugh so hard. I like the hot check with an STD thing....so true.

Re: CPP coil overs
Do you have to covert to a 4link to use this type of setup, The CPP set up has custom bolt-on brackets that mount to the aft end of the trailing arms and to the outside of the frame. I believe your truck will have more stability if the coil overs are mounted outside the frame. Here is a picture.
Drag cars have narrowed frames, wide tires and most of time a 4-link setup, No way or need to mount the coil overs to the outside of the frame.

Re: CPP coil overs
No you don't need a 4-link to run the QA1 setup.
