67 GMC questions
I am pondering purchasing another truck that came up for sale in my area but had a few questions for the "experts" (i plan to post some pics of this tonight as well)
Its a '67 GMC longbed - small back window, no side markers, leaf springs. But............ it has a squared off 69-72 style hood, as well, the rear end is 5 lug and the front is still 6 (guess someone ran out of $$) Since it has Rally wheels, that is not noticeable until you squint, As well, the guy installed some late model highback, power Trans Am bucket seats or something which look totally cheesy stock spec 350 motor with q jet, but someone has installed a floor shift with a"shift kit" or something in the tranny, so it does not shift smooth the paint is presentable,(i'd call it a good 10-15 footer) but shows a few signs of being a first or second time bodywork effort on close inspection. The guy states he was gonna run an ad for 3500, but will deal (which means it might sell for 25-2700) Is a truck with the above issues even worth dealing with for 2500 or so, being a longbed with a 1/2 done 5 lug conversion and possible later front sheetmetal. The cab is solid, and any rust in the rockers, etc. has been repaired................... but, Pics later will help, i know |

Re: 67 GMC questions
Ahh, I miss my '67. 3500 seems like a lot...but I haven't bought many trucks. Bummer about the hood, too. My old truck had 6 lug in the back, 5 lug in front...pain in the a$$ to deal with, so I would count that into your financial equation.
Are you looking for a project? heh. Pics would be nice. |

Re: 67 GMC questions
I would say being in OK there should be better trucks for the price. There is a 69 swb on dallas craigs list that is probably a lot better deal.

Re: 67 GMC questions
It`s abit 1/2 axed to be expecting a decent price by the seller. You could spend what he`s asking getting it right.Sounds like all you described spells he used what he could get for cheap. Now,he wants more than cheap for it.I`d wait for better I think.
