Lower controll arm shaft help needed!
Hey I bought new lower controll arm shafts from ACdelco and I have removed my old ones already . My question is concerning the threads I know they look stripped form new but the shaft nut slides right into the hole does this mean I need to get another lower controll arm shaft thats not striped .
Oh I had just pressed a new lower ball joint in too.

I was told to replace the shafts when replacing the bushings. I didn't and within 6 months the bushings/shaft were stripped. Now I may have done something wrong, but I don't think I did. I'd recommend replacing both. Heck, it's cheap insurance against the time involved in a rebuild.
PS: I decided to go rubber bushings of the later model trucks after that!
