cant believe it
recently posted my 1st pics of my 84 on back of tow truck. problem was cap &rotor was fried ,msd billet dist.with maybe 1500- 2000 miles on it. was replaced because no ground from engine to frame. this actually is 3rd problem ive had . 2 distributers at 300.00 each & now cap * ROTOR . ANY INFO ON THIS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS FOR ALL THE COMPLIMENTS ON MY TRUCK BY THE WAYEVEN THOUGH ONE SAID DIDNT REALLY LIKE MY TAILLIGHTS. WAS GIFT FROM MY SON ONE FATHERS DAY SO THEY ARE ON , & IVE GROWN TO LIKE THEM AT 60 YRS OLD .I GUESS IMM A WANNABE 20 SOMETHING.

for the grounding thing i run my neg from battery to engine casue the motors old ground got hot and would smoke i removed it and know i dont have problems. It would heat up cause it wasnt getting a good conection.

you are actually pretty close to me. let me know of any truck get togethers, shows etc . in your area . not much going on around here. |

Also your answer yea there are car shows around me at manassas airport at burgerking i go there every weekend. Gets good around 5 pm at around 9, then the older cars leave (1910-1970s) then the newer cars show you mostly imports but still good group of people and willing to answer any questions.

I don't know if your's is anything like mine ( a 1980) , but I had a little thingy problem with not having a ground connection on my coil inside my distributer cap. It sure caused me some grief which I couldn't figure out for a while. It did burn up the coil under the dist. cap.. I got stuck at least once with that problem...

sounds good like to see the truck in preson and im always in my truck. But the rear rubber has issues staying on the truck.
