man im stupid
i would love to have a swb truck...not in the arket,,but would love to have one if i could find one..then last night i was thinking,,hey wait a minute,,i almost bought an early to mid 80's swb gmc a couple of yrs ago..i backed out of it,,and another guy bought it,,then blew the motor..but if i rember right,,the body was clean,,no rust what so ever,,olklahoma truck originaly...its been back at the junkyard ever since it sold,,and then the guy blew the motor..so far no parts have been stripped off of it,,last time i looked anyway..i may have to drive over there and look at it..but then i would have 2 trucks with no motors in them, and one i cant afford to drive...i need my head checked..would definatly not tell the ol lady about it...if it is as clean as i rember i might just see if i can trade my 68 for it...

Re: man im stupid
Dude, your not stupid, you just have a serious ilness, your sick man, & the only remedy that will make you fell better is buying more trucks, there's alot of guys like you here, some alot sicker then you, they trucks in the front yard, the back yard, some have flowers growing out of them, some have so many trucks they had to build a fence to hide the trucks behind to keep the city from giving them fines.
You'll be okay, don't be so hard on yourself |

Re: man im stupid
I had to get some help on this board too. Garage therapy, so to speak. Everyone encouraged me to finish one of my current projects before i bought another one (unless of course it was a real steal, )
My problem is i havent finished a project in forever and my garage was lookin . Now its motivated me to finish some of my stuff before i added more to my ever-growing pile of half done vehicles oh, and btw -- don't trade the '68 for anything --- there is a LWB thread on the 67-72 boards---- some of those trucks look gooooooood. Re: man im stupid
Haha I have the urge to buy more like you wouldnt believe. Been fighting it. Thing of it is my current project truck spends a lot of the time tore a part. Really I should have another old truck to use to run and get parts and stuff with when my main truck is getting work done to it.
I keep telling myself though its not the cost of buying a truck. Its all the repairs we have to do after we buy it. So these trucks that look like great deals quickly turn into money pits. Haha Last thing I need is another truck. Then I would have two trucks to be working at all the time!(grin) |
