What 12v starter for '47 chevy?
I need a 12v starter for my '47.
I talked to the guy at the auto parts store and said one off of a 55-59 chevy might work, but he didn't have one..... I want to maintain the foot start though.... that is cool. Anyone have any experience with this? |

yea, just don't crank on it too long or they go into meltdown mode. one other thing make sure the bolts are tight and use lockwashers. if it comes loose and binds BAMM! the nose cone can break off. bought a few that this happened to, it can really make a lot of work to correct.

Gotcha.... so make sure the thing is dialed in before we start her up.
Get it primed and tuned close makes for less wear and tear on the starter. |
