My sons burb
This is the burb I gave my oldest son. It needs a new engine, but I gave him one of those too. I told him I will be happy to help swap out the engines but I wasnt going to do it for him.
I also told him since he cant seem to find the time to work on this maybe he should tarp it..... Last edited by CG; 06-30-2007 at 08:54 PM. |

Re: My sons burb
haha, thats a slick burb, should be nice when done. My dad gave me my first 4 trucks, im on my 6th or 7th truck (using the 6th to fix the seventh) and still have every one of the old rigs. I also have a camaro and chevelle, both my dad gave me, and i have had to work on every one of those cars. I NEVER go to shops, its just our style, if we cnat do it, what the heck is wrong with it?

Re: My sons burb
Nice truck (accept for all that Poop!) I,to am building my 1st. truck, and my father donated his 1st. motor and Pro-Street tires & Wheels among many other things. I think it's a great jesture on the part of the fathers out there, to "lead, but not cary", if you know what I mean. I had a 78 "burb (that ironically) pops gave me for hauling around band equip. and Man do I miss that truck! Well good luck w/ your father & son project.......p.s. try hanging up a Scarecrow to keep those birds away!

Lmao...now thats funny right there. No its my father in laws old hay bunker. Hes a retired dairyman. He lets me keep my stuff out there as long as I keep it fairly tidy. I keep the stuff I care about tarped. This son is 26, he knows what needs to be done...just needs to scare up the time.

It would be cool to see what it does to the paint, but I wouldn't leave it on there to find out... lol

Re: My sons burb
that wouldn't be patina... that would be ruined paint induced by not taking care of the truck.
Sorry, that word is thrown around too much around here. |

Re: My sons burb
You guys crack me up....I will say this though, the paint was already hammered, otherwise I would have covered it up. I was hoping all the pootina would motivate him to come out and work on it.

Re: My sons burb
That's not covered in bird turds, that's BTC (Bird Turd Camo) paint. Put a sun roof in it and it would make a great blind for duck hunting.
