Lift Laws

Have you guys seen the lift laws latly. I was trying yo decide on my new ride hight so I was lookin in go lift laws. Man have they goten ruff. When I get home tonight Im going to mesure the frame to ground and see if Im any were near legal. what happened to bumper hight no its all by frame so you cant use a drop bumper to get around it.

Thankfully, as the weight goes up, so does the height. (it's around 6K+)

I'd make it if they measure in the middle where our frames drop down.

If they measure from each end near the bumpers...I'm screwed.

I lifted my Highlander w/o giving it a thought.We never were allowed to lower bumpers anyway.If I get hassled I`m going to do what I needed to get around to anyway.In Maryland we have historic tags like everywhere else.But,we also have street rod tags.No driving restrictions and you just have to list no less than 18 modifications from stock.Well,one of mine is a 6" lift.Actually:
1)6" higher springs
2)6" longer gas shocks
3)4" higher steering arm
4)24" rear brake hose
5)longer front brake hoses
6)longer emergency brake cables
7)2" longer rear driveshaft
8)10x16 wheels
9)12.50/35x16 tires
10)long shank chrome acorn lug nuts
As you can see,it`s not hard to hit 18.
A truck won`t pass inspection with a lift kit here anymore,is what I have heard.
Are we free?

Im close to be to much over I definitly wont want a cop with a measuring tape near my burb when its back on the road. I think lift laws should be more like no blocks in the front no rebar for steering arms that sort of thing.
so who is going to do the first frame section to make there frame taller just split it down the center and add 2 or 3in to the hight.
