what will this posi fit in?
i recently recieved a 8.5 posi carrier (clutch style) with 2.56 gears. I believe its from a 74 vehicle. Would this fit in my 88 truck with a 10 bolt? No idea what the spine count is on either. Any help would be appriciated.

It will only work with 2.56 or numerically lower ratios. If it's for sure a '74 unit, it will have 28 axle splines. GM went to 30-spline axles somewhere around '88 or '89, so beware.
