bed swapping question
I have a '71 C20 with a utility bed on it. I'm thinking about buyinga '74 C30 dually with a nicer, bigger utility bed. Will the bigger bed fit on my older truck? I'll swap out the rearend and suspension too.

Re: bed swapping question
Most of the utility beds I've looked at were a "Universal" fit.Meaning the bed could be mounted to almost any truck but you would have to build mounts from frame to bed. That said, the big thing to keep in mind is weight. If the 'new' bed is bigger it is probably heavier.Since you intend to swap the suspension it would probably work out.Just crawl around under both with a tape and pad to see if it will work.
