Wanted : As Nice A Hood As Possible 73-78
I am looking for a perfect or near perfect hood for a 73-78 . I do not want a 79-80 hood . The difference is the reveal line across the front . Rust free west Tx hood would be nice . Something within driving distance . If you have one , please post pics and price . FRANK

Re: Wanted : As Nice A Hood As Possible 73-78
I might have a hood for you.
I just found a mint one today for mine. So, my original hood is up for grabs. Only problem I found was a small rust lift issue at the front center of the hood on the outside of the hood latch area. We were gonna disc grind it out then just TIG it back to nice.... but I found this new hood. It's your call!

"Got any close up pics of it ? "
Ill get some for you either tomorrow or Saturday, as it is being stored at my friends home about 45 minutes from here. "any bends in the middle , etc. ?" I do not think so, but I know what you are looking for so I will take some images for you of that area and post them here for you. "How would one get a hood shipped ?" I use either Roadway trucking or sometimes I use Old Dominion trucking. Roadway: https://www.roadway.com Old Dominion: http://www.odfl.com They both should have websites online for pricing, etc. I typically just ship things dock to dock, and pick it up myself instead of paying the extra to my door delivery.

Re: Wanted : As Nice A Hood As Possible 73-78
I got the hood off, but I forgot to take images of it...sorry.
I noticed that my 73 hood is different than the 77-79 hood I got. The side - middle hood stamping was of a narrower width for the rubber vibration insert. My 73 hood was wider in that location. So now, I am confused as to what hood to use to keep it correct.

Re: Wanted : As Nice A Hood As Possible 73-78
If you want the one I just found locally, I will offer it up for sale to you.
I took it off of a Blazer that was from a dry climate truck; NO RUST! It has the opening for that weird pin underneath on the under-support. Check into shipping costs and let me know. NOTE : I found a guy locally who has about 15 trucks he is parting out. Basically they are all 73-86'ers. Misc stuff to complete trucks. Rust to NO Rust! If you are needing something, PM me and I will call and ask him for you!
