How about some pictures of '73-'87 LOOOOONG BEDS
I see we have a nice show of the short beds but i dont see the long beds as if it the unwanted step child or something. So i thought id start with mine and see were this goes. If it has an 8 foot bed that never has to be made, show it ,please
Mine a 1986 silverado the body is all originial with 244000 on the clock but the engine is a 1989 blazer motor converted to carberated. She runs an accel coil, platium acdelco plugs, high temp 8mm wires, as well as an edelbrock performer intake and edelbrock carb. 650 cfm. The trans is a rebuilt th350 with a b&m shift kit and larger valves. All painted chevy orange to match the orange pin stripe. The truck Before rims With current rims And now the engine old pic will up date with newer pic soon

84 gmc. 20 miles on rebuilt 68 camaro rs engine, 94 gmc buckets and console, lowering and paint are in the plans for this summer, but since its taken 3 weeks just to get a nav unit installed, it aint likely to happen this year.

A good friend since 1981...........'77' 3/4 ton 4x4
I've had this truck since 1981 (second owner). Unfortunately I'm going to have to sell it in the near future.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 LOOOOONG BEDS
i own nothing but long beds....even if other think they are the ugly step child, i prefer to be abl to haul a load if i want to...
this one is my baby, but im am stripping her in case the judge says i have to give her up,, 1984 3/4 gmc, 454 Hosted on Fotki this one is my new baby..been tryign to get it for along time,,finaly got her.. 1976 1 ton crew cab dually, soon to have 454 from 84 in it Hosted on Fotki also the 68 gmc 1/2 ton i traded for the dually, was a long bed..my last project truck was a 1960 chevy 1/2, lwb stepside..with no rust in the whole truck.... i prefer the lwb...now my next project will more than likely be a swb, but if i find a lwb first, who knows...

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 LOOOOONG BEDS
Longbeds rule but i'm biased its all I can get over here
Here is my famililes collection all longbeds except old blue which has a 12ft flatbed tray. I also have another truck which isn't in this picture lol. I only need one more pickup bed for the yellow one but trying to find a good one over here .......... very very very hard the second pick is some thoughts on how mine will look maybe dropped a little more at the back....more than likely without the sidepipes. My drivetrain will soon be 454/turbo 400 gearvendors o/d 4.56 diff gears with 30" tall rear tyres. Its destined to be only a weekend warrior. IMO I don't understand why longbeds are knocked they are just as cool as shortbeds |

heres my 87 wrangler. the chrome wheels are gonna be replaced by 15x8 and 15x10 rallys, and after the bodyjob it needs it will most likely be all blue.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 LOOOOONG BEDS
I´m trying hard to get it on the road this year!Been working on it for more then 13 (thirteen) years now!It was a `81 350 diesel with a massive look when i bought it! Just leaked more oil than using diesel!
One part after the other gave up work in about 3 month and that was when i decided to do the frameoff buildup! Now it´s going to be a sporttruck with a 350 gas plant and better than new! Hopefully soon i´ll be unofficially overhauled! |

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 LOOOOONG BEDS
The first picture is a truck I just saw sitting along the road.
The second one is my brothers 1984 Scottsdale 305 that he just bought. it had over $2000 worth of work and new parts and he got it for $500.

Re: How about some pictures of '73-'87 LOOOOONG BEDS
I'd LOVE to have the trans am in that last pic.
I wanted to go with deep dish, like 10's in back or all the way around, and would have loved to go with a chrome 5 spoke like crager ss's which I have on my monte carlo or a torque thrust wheel. But for me chrome is better then stock or painted anyday in any way.
