Looking For 3/1 Leaf Springs
Looking for some real nice leaf springs for a 78 SWB. Need the standard 3/1 leaf, not the heavy duty 7/1 type. Send your responses to gemba@excite.com. Thanks! :p

Going to use a flip kit/C-section to lower the rear 5" instead of using a 4" drop leaf spring and shackle set. I want to then use airlift or ride-rite air support springs for the occasional hauling. I have been told that I could not use these air support springs with the drop springs, but I could if I use a flip/C-section. I currently have HD springs, but would like to use the standard issue springs to soften the ride and as suggested by a local drop shop.

i think al you would really need to do to accomplish getting std capacity springs is to remove a couple of the leaves from both packs. dont see any other difference otherwise, hm
good luck |

Light-duty leaf springs have a different spring rate.

also there are two different lengths, 51" and 56",. 56" woud be softer ride than a pack of 51" with same quantity of leaves. i would just save time and trouble and simply remove 4 leaves, personally.. each to his own though good luck |

You are correct, but they were offered in 52" and 56" lengths.
