Bigdaddydave and his 71 chevy short stepside project
Hi to everyone. I just came across this site a few days ago and thought it was awsome. I have read every post that many of you have written and I have learned more here about my truck then I ever thought was possible. Due to my work schedule, I'm unable to post very often but look forward to chatting with as many of you as possible in the future.
Just a brief description of my truck: As I said earlier, my truck/project is a 71 Chevy short bed step side. I'm running the 350/350 combo with a 12 bolt rear end with 373 gears.The truck has been recently painted in what the p.o. termed as 2002 volkswagon yellow. New interior, new wheels and tires, and the truck has been lowered 3" the front and 5" in the back. I will try to post some pictures soon. By the way for all of you nascar fans, I live 3 miles south of lowes motor speedway, located in the great tar heel state! Peace!

I just joined the site, love all the info and questions, i have had my truck for 18 years and just decided to rebuild it with all the latest stuff they have out now. I have had the truck since i was 14. I converted it to 5 lug disc, drop spindles, all new frt end parts, dropped the back 4", 12bt 4.10's cut the bed and put in tubs, for frt wheels 15x6 rodlights with MT28-7.50 tires, rear are 15x12 with 7.5 backspace rodlights with 29-15.5 MT sportsmans. Will have before and after pics later posted, still under construction. For the paint is going to be metallic silver with ghost flames with 4" z outlaw cowl hood. Looking forward to talking to you chevy truck guys.

Looks good! You headin to the Goodguys show in October? That is a great show! Took my 68 last year and had a blast! It is awesome when they let you take a few laps under the lights! Run ya
