TBI COnversion/ Distributor
IS using the factory distributor a must? Or can I use an independent distributor feasible??

Any of the major after market units that are designed for use with the TBI will work. Many times the after market units are built better with billet housings and so forth if you are willing to pay for the extra heavy duty parts.
