Car haulers

I came across these today. The owner claims they run great. Haven't been licensed in a few years and have been sitting out under the trees too long. He says he'd sell them, but thinks they are worth their weight in silver at least.

Re: Car haulers

i'm willing to bet, that the 68 and the 71(?) would clean up OK, slap some paint on the bed, and they'd be decent lookin trucks.

Re: Car haulers

Was he figuring the weight of the garbage on the bed in the price? They look pretty good for being sitting. But,a bit of soap and water would help get what they`re worth.I know he didn`t have signs on them, but it still sayssomething when a guy thinks his stuff is worth good money, yet he doesn`t keep after them.At truck from an owner that takes great care is worth more to me.
Why does he have three car haulers and a tow truck, anyway?Nothing wrong with that, just curious.

Re: Car haulers

He has been in car racing for over 50 years he says. Will be running a car tomorrow in Owatonna at the fair. He had a race car (neglected also) sitting by the garage. I just don't think that around 70 yrs old, he can keep up with what he has, but is unwilling to let go of it. Nice guy. For those interested, has said $5000 to $10,000. I didn't ask which was what. If you PM me, I'll tell you where they are.

Re: Car haulers

Yeah, can`t tell much about a seller from a few pictures,I guess.I still think he should wash them for that kinda money.I guess he`s just "willing" to sell, not "trying" to sell.

Re: Car haulers

be very careful talking to that guy, he is a weird duck. i was at his place and he pulled a gun out and started shooting at something and thats no $hit. everything is worth its weight in gold. he has a couple ls6 big blocks that his kid used in his race cars back in the day .
