65 project
I am finally getting somewhere on my 65 shortbed project. I got the frame sand blasted and painted got my 4:11 posi built for it and i'm ready to start puting all the frame components back together finally! Here are some pictures of it. The new holland yellow is the color of the frame when I bought it and it just had to go.

Re: 65 project
Well i bought this truck from a guy who started a restoration and is now moving and decided to sell it. The body isn't in horriable shape needs a drivers rocker it has some rust in it and the floor pan also has some rust along the seem so i'm planning on replacing that also. It has been sanded down to bare metal and primed but it's sat for so long it has started to surface rust again. the body has been stripped down so nothing is in the cab, and basically the whole body is in peices. It took me 4 trips to get everything for it. One trip including a trailer and 2 pick up trucks. My main goal at the time is to get the drive train all back together and then start on the body since i don't have room in the garage for both. I'll keep you all posted on my progress with pictures. Thanks,
Jesse |

Re: 65 project
The big-n-little wheels look good on there. What size is that Hoosier on the rear? That's some nice progress you're making.

Re: 65 project
I am so envious! I wanted my frame sandblasted to look as good as possible but just didn't have the time or resources to get it that sweet looking. It's painted but now it's just sitting there begging for attention............awesome work!

Re: 65 project
It's a 357 Motor. 350 bored 40 over. It's all forged, eagle crank, Diar rods, domed pistons, gear drive, etc..... The person I bought it off of had it built and ran on the dyno and was putting out over 500 horse with it. I don't know if i will ever get it done.... ? Anyone interested in the whole project? I would consider selling it if there is.......
