Talking Long time, no visit. But I bear good news.

Its been a while since I've been on this board... I've defected to the Honda network of forums, for obvious reasons.

Anyways, on to the good news. The guy I sold Ol' Red to, has him back on the road!!

Ma and sis snagged these spy photos Sat. morning...

Apparently he has been trying to resolve the motor issue b/c he was in contact with my dad. And he came by today to show it to me (that he had it running) but I was working an 11-hour shift BUT he promised to try and come by again to show me. Pops said it was sounding MEAN, most likely a crate 350 with a little sometin' in it, plus exhaust I'm sure.

I know he has somewhat ghetto plans for it but I'm OK with that, because I'd rather see it on the road, kickin' a$$ than rotting in a junkyard.

More pics when they become available.

Cliff

Re: Long time, no visit. But I bear good news.

Money and circumstance dictated I couldn't keep it. But who knows, I'd definately like to own another 73-87 down the road.

Pops said it was definatelly running very good, probably a crate 350 b/c it had a different intake than the Edlebrock we put on the 305, and it had headers and dual exhaust.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: Long time, no visit. But I bear good news.

slonaker, thats cool, I've always loved your truck and enjoyed your input on threads and you have a 2002, wow. I had a flawless 75 for about 8 years in the 80's, sold it when my second son was born, and now bought a 76 to fix up with the same son. I'd love to see a pix some time, thanks bob
