what is limited slip on a rear end?
I might buy a 3/4 ton Dana 60 rear end with limited slip out of a 68....anyone know anything on this unit and what the slip is about?

Limited slip = positraction.
There's about a billion other names, but it all means the same thing. Two-wheel burnouts.

just make damn sure you dont do what i did today, me and a friend where gonna swap rearends, his 3.73 posi in his 72 blazer, for my open 3.73s in my 69 gmc pickup, they where both 12 bolts, everything looked like a match, so away we tore, we had both of them laying on the ground and tools all over the damn place, started the swap only to notice the difference between the leaf springs was about 3 inches different, so 6 hours later and a lot of cursing, we had the both the rearends back in the original vehicles........ bottom line, measure and make sure before you take them out....
