Little Progress
Well, This truck started its life as a tow truck for a body shop here in town. I just picked it up about a month ago and started my buildup. Going for that newstalgia look. I know its not a 40' 50's hotrod, but I love whitewalls and I think it will look pretty cool when its all done. I'm wrapping up the rear as we speak. Just a notch and bags in the rear, 2 1/2 inch spindles will go in the front when they come in w/bags also. All 1/4 inch line and fittings going to manual valves in the cab. So take a look and comment on it so far...yes its an 8 lug, I thought that big eaton would look cool coming up through the bed.

Re: Little Progress
I like it, the paint works with the whitewalls, no bed, just throw some old floormats on for mud flaps
That will get your neighborhood cops excited, hope to se more on this.

Re: Little Progress
Put the wrecker bed back on it.It's a cool rig and should be great for picking up more projects.

Re: Little Progress
haha, yeah, restore the wrecker bed and put it on there, get some longbed trim to make it look like a factory wrecker bed (brown with the white stripe on the bottom seperated by trim)

Re: Little Progress
It has a regular bed, he just had a wrecker setup in the bed. The bed is sitting on saw horses in the shop

Re: Little Progress
yeah, i thought it was an ex-tow rig, would be cool to put a nestolagic hotrod shop logo on the door, bed and tow rig back on, then youd have a 67-72 rollin on whitewalls while draggin other projects home, and think of the attention a slammed 3/4 ton on whitewalls with a tow setup in the bed would get.
