stock spindles

whats the prob with chopping the springs and running stock spindles im looking for around a 4-5" drop. will there be alot of bump steer can it be corrected. iv seen people slam there trucks by only torching the springs and getting a wheel alignment but iv heard bad things about the springs loosing there tinsel strength when they are heated. i was also contemplating airbags can they be run with stock spindles. thanks Quinn

Re: stock spindles

If you cut 1 round off the bottom of the front springs, you will have tween 2-3" of drop......& thats just about max on a spring drop (to keep good front geometry). Best bet on the lower drops , is a spindle/spring combo, or go with a spindle/ bag combo . You could run bags with stock spindles, but wont get the front to align properly if you go much more than 3" as ride height. L
