Front disc brake.............................

I have seen many kits for converting the front drums to dics. They have almost everything except a brake booster, and maybe a master cylinder.Could be wrong on the cylinder.Question is,can this be run straight out of the box or is there anything else that will be needed to get this conversion complete?
Thanks in advance,John

Re: Front disc brake.............................

depends on what setup you want to run, I highly suggest a booster but there are kits where you just use the MC.

This is really something to ask the company you buy from. Some times kits change and what was once included may now be extra.

Re: Front disc brake.............................

Its not a quick swap. I used the classic performance parts kit. It was about 1700 for the full kit with 4 wheel disc brakes. I had most of it done in a weekend, but the hard parts include,

Getting the brake pedal out so you can adjust the rod.
Drilling 2 new holes so you can mount the power booster with 4 bolts. The 2 new holes go above the old ones.
Making sure you have the right rod length and pedal free play. It will be a long day but it is worth it.
