Question shocks with a drop

What are u guys doing here? Im planning on a 4-5 or 4-6 drop and im too cheep for drop shocks, So what is the alternative? Anyone got any oem part# for ones that will fit or any tips for mods to make em fit. Thanks

it's not that much for 2 drop shocks. They're like 30 or 35 a piece.

theres always the option of using stock shocks and fabricating you own mounts

You can fab your own upper shock brackets (time & price of the steel = easy on the budget) or aftermarket brackets that raise the upper shock mount are 50~$60 but are readily available.

The aftermarket brackets are a 'wash' vs. buying some drop shocks IMO.

I fabbed my own brackets, modified my ART control arms to get the best shock stroke possible @ ride height, & I'm using top quality Bilstein shocks.

Where did u buy your shocks from. at that price its not bad to just put in the right part and call it a day. and anyone got pics of custom shock mounts.
