83Custom Deluxe 700R4 Transmission Leak
Well, I've been pretty lax on my truck lately, haven't been driving it due to being gone alot and no A/C in the summer heat...but now when i park it for a week or two the transmission fluid all leaks out!!! This 700R4 is pretty much new, as is the engine, probably no more than 1500 miles on it yet. I'm trying to narrow it down, i put cardboard under it and the leak def seems to be toward the front, just wondering if i'm looking at front seal or something else. If i fill it up and run it daily I don't seem to have any problems

Re: 83Custom Deluxe 700R4 Transmission Leak
I'd say check the pan gasket. My mone carlo won't leak while you drive but everytime it sits overnight or longer it has a spot under it, someone said it was the pan, i tightened up the bolts and it did stop for a week or two. I know it's not my front seal because it's brand new and not wet up in there only around the pan and lip of the pan. I think mine started agin because I may have split the gasket by overtightening then bolts.

That's a good idea, i really hadn't even thought about the pan gasket leaking...i'll try that first and cross my fingers that that was it. Thanks for the reply benoit454.
