Went pretty smooth putting it in, only took a couple of hours. Granted I am not done with the notch or rack, but I like the way it looks. I mocked it up at ride height with a 1" rake in the back. It was funny without the bags in, I dropped the jack and the frame got stuck on some small pieces of stuff I had laying around. Damn this thing will get low!!. I love it. Thanks Nate for you help, and your kick ass product.

Looks awesome. Did you not get the dropmember to lay out? I see you've got some coil springs in the background, bumpstops on the a-arms, and the bell-housing crossmember still in which will bottom out way before the dropmember.

It would have bottomed out without the bags in. I do not have my cups for the bags yet, and the rear is still on jack stands so I did not want it to fall. I still need to cut the other BH member out, but at the ride height I have it set at that member is just 3" off the ground. When I let the jack go the upper bag plate smacked the hell out of the bumpstop, compressed it about 2" or so. I will probably need to cut it down or get a thinner one.

Yes, with a pair of cups for the bags. I am waiting for my cups, and I will then see how much I will need to hack off of my bump stop. I am hoping after the 2.5" cup that I can get away with whacking only an 1" off the BS.

And really it's not the DropMember with the problem, it's the CPP arms that put a big azz bump stop where there was not one before. As you can see there are plenty of people that use stock arms with no issue.[

hey man thats for the help earlier but how much did all that cost? what came with the dropmember? i kinda needed a price range to give my customer, i saw an ad for a middle cross member i guess behind the tranny or something....

I am not sure what the cost is now for evertything. You might check out the site www.dropmember.com you can get the list of what you get with the kit. Or you can just pm porterbuilt, and he will give you a break down. Like I said, it is definately worth it if you have the budget vs the billed hours it would take to do a Z, or section the crossmember, and all the other fab work involved with those options that are solved with this bolt in. Give Nathan a buzz, and he can give you the skinny.

well poo! I don't think one will fit on the shop truck, my '72 burb has one, and my wife would kill me if I had to aquire another truck in order to buy yet another DropMember so can I just pay for my jacket instead?

If I could get it any way I wanted it I would like a big Portbuilt Street Rods patch on the back and maybe a stripe or two down the right side of the front leaving the left front for anything custom like "Scooter" or "Scoti" or "n2billet".

The forum names would be cool. That way if we saw someone out we would know who they were. Like you guys are gonna be in Arkansas, but stranger things have happened. I showed up at Nathan's shop and asked him if he recognized my voice.

That's what I would like, but anyway you made it would be fine.
