New Guy Here
Hi There,
My name is Alex and i just bought my 1st ever pickup. It is a 62 shortbed w/ a 327, front disks, 2wd and fully restored. I'll post pics when I take some tomorrow. The truck has been totally gone through including all rust taken care of, full repaint in and out, engine bay repainted, disk front brakes, rebuilt motor and tranny and the list goes on. Anyways i'm new to the C10, but have had a few Chevys, a 71 fully restored Blazer 4x4, a fully restored 67 Chevelle and a redone 92 Blazer Full Size. Anyways just wanted to introduce myself and ask a quick question... Do any of you guys run tonneau covers, if so whick ones and any pics? Thanks, Alex |

Re: New Guy Here
So I will add one.. I took this at the show in Half Moon Bay that is there every year in April. It was the only one I took.. Also. Oct 14th is Jimmy's Old Car Picnic in Golden Gate Park. It cost $20 to park on the lawn and show your car/truck. There are some nice cars there also if anyone wants to go. You won't be dissapointed. If you want to meet there let me know and I can do that also.

Re: New Guy Here
Welcome to the board from NC. As far as a bed cover goes I made my own out of plywood and vinyl that I bought at a local upholstery shop. It took about 2 hours to build and cost less than 100 bucks.

Re: New Guy Here
Here are some pics, it's the worst time of day to take pics...but oh well, the people demand pics.
Plans are for a hidden stereo in glove box, alarm w/ pdl and the tonneau cover. Oh and some rear gears b/c a 3sp auto and 4:11's don't go well together for freeway cruising! PS...the pics don't do it justice, oh and it has an uncut dash. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...tzeeSD/006.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...tzeeSD/005.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...eeSD/002-3.jpg |

Re: New Guy Here
Welcome from VA! Sweet ride AND my favorite color! I'll be getting a tonneau cover in the near future, but a black one - not the hard cover.
